Regatta DirectoryFollowing is an index of upcoming regattas for the classes designated. These regattas (except one) are not restricted in any way, geographical or experience wise. Most regattas feature clinics on maintenance and performance sailing as well as great parties. So come and join in, you will be glad you did. RC Laser Regattas2009 Canadian RC Laser National Championships (first ever) - 18-20 Sep 2009 Nanaimo Yacht Club Nanaimo is pronounced "La Hi Hoe" - that's what they say! Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, British Columbia Canada This is a first. The first RC Laser Canadian Championships, the first RC Laser regatta held in Canada period, and therefore the first for the Nanaimo Yacht Club. These guys are serious about inviting all RC Laser sailors to come visit them, enjoy a great regatta right in front of their yacht club, and see the sights while in town, on the island, in Canada. The clubhouse sits right at the dock, and we sail from floating docks right on open water. A wonderful racing venue. The hospitality of the Tred Avon YC group is spectacular, and the town and area are a real joy to visit. A week after the Annapolis Boat show, it is a good time to get on over to the eastern shore and have fun. Active links are bolded blue. There is something special about coming to Florida at this time of year, wearing shorts, and having fun on a perfect lake in the middle of a small island. And our hosts really know how to do it. So come early for a day of?warm-up racing, clinics and a Friday night welcome party. Sat and Sun will be our normal fleet racing for the Midwinter championships. Active links are bolded blue. Notice of Race Entry Form Sailing Instructions Scoring System Class Racing Rule Travel and Accommodation Information 2010 RC Laser Vintage Classic (Region I) - Mau 2010 Lake Providence Model Sailing Club Mount Juliet, TN 37122 (outside Nashville) A magnificent sailing venue awaits you. From a point of land sticking out into the lake you will sail any wind angle right along the shore - so NO distant marks!! The host club is situated in a new Del Webb community called Lake Providence featuring a 24000 square foot clubhouse right on the 15 acre private lake. Because the hosts are all 55 or better in years, this regatta is restricted to entries that fit the same age group. So plan on joining us in beautiful middle Tennessee in the spring time. We are only 12 minutes from the magnificent Gaylord Grand Ole Opryland, and 20 minutes from downtown Nashville, Music City USA. If you stay through Sunday night, your hosts will take you downtown to one of our many honky tonks for some great fun - so extend your weekend to arrive here no later than Friday morning and leave no earlier than Monday afternoon so you can enjoy all the fun. Racing for the Vintage (sailors not boats) cup will be on Sat and Sunday only, with warm-up racing and drink-up socializing on Friday afternoon and evening.
